Why the name Cook the Data?

I once came across a great analogy that compares data science to cooking, and it really resonated with me. The more I thought about it, the more I liked it—so much so that it inspired the name of this blog.

In this analogy:
• preprocessing is like preparing your ingredients—cleaning, peeling, slicing, and making sure everything is ready to go,
• feature engineering is like using a special chopping technique or kitchen trick—something clever that brings out the best in your ingredients,
• hyperparameter tuning is your choice of spices—the subtle adjustments that can transform a good dish into a great one,
• and finally, modeling is the actual cooking—combining everything together and applying heat (or algorithms!) to create a finished product.

This blog is where I want to share techniques and ideas for preparing, analyzing, and modeling data. I’ll walk through the full data science project lifecycle, from raw data to final model.
It’s also a personal learning space. I want to get better at both data science and writing about it, and I hope that sharing what I learn will help both me and others grow.

If you have questions, suggestions for topics, or advice on how I can improve in any way — please leave a comment! I really appreciate feedback and love connecting with fellow data enthusiasts.
